About This Chapter
We meet Petter, a British investor, and his company's chairman. Petter has just returned from a trip to China, and the company is in a surplus position. The company chairman tells Petter that the company needs to invest in order to expand its business in the overseas markets. He is worried that the two men will not be able to communicate because of their different cultures, but Petter assures him that they will. The chairman invites Petter to have a drink with him, and Petter agrees. He orders a double-flavored pot of food, which is spicy and tasty. He wonders why the food has to be separated from the hot pot. He thinks that different ingredients have different cooking times. For example, a pig's brain takes 20 minutes to boil, whereas the intestines take only 3 seconds to boil. He curses the hotpot for being so stupid.
