This chapter opens with a conversation between the wolf's father and his son. The father is a bit worried about the baby wolf, who is wearing his father's clothing. The baby wolf asks the father if the baby's clothes are comfortable, and the father replies that they are, but that he can use a bit more strength. He tells the baby that he will reward him after the massage, and then he will be his father. He says that if he were in the position of the baby, the baby would be calling him "father" and that he would reward him for the massage. He then says that the baby is ugly, and he will use the massage to win that ugly sheep. He adds that he has recently discovered that this kid has an aesthetic sense, and that there is something wrong with the kid's sense of beauty. He will use looks first to win the ugly sheep, and when he sees that the sheep is indifferent to him, he will stab the sheep and make him stand on the ground for the rest of his life. This is not what he meant at all. He sighs and says that this can let the baby see that his father is cold-blooded, and maybe his god can cure his blood stasis. He also says that he must be a healer, because he is the child's benefactor. He asks if he needs the baby to help him with anything, or if he has something he wants.
